4,000 scanning lines!
The screening room is located at immediate left side of the Cultural Exchange Exhibition Room on the 4th floor. That is the Super High-Vision Theater called gTheater 4,000h. High resolution digital image, 16 times of current high vision is displayed here The name is after 4,000 scanning lines (existing television, 525).
The worldfs first sensational image produced by a big screen of 300 inches can be experienced Due to technical limitation, only still image is displayed but the color and quality are ideal beauty which canft be explained without seeing.

2 films out of 3 under the title of gJapanese skill and beauty fascinate the worldh, "Silk Road, Buddha in Dunhuang" and "Marine Shosoin, Okinoshima" are run.
Writer, Sawako Agawa narrates all of them, and exuberant surround-sound can be experienced. The room has 35 seats, so obtaining the numbered ticket for the show you prefer is recommended. Itfs the highlight of the exhibition, so please be seated 5 minutes prior to the show and fully enjoy yourselves.

" Silk Road, Buddha in Dunhuang "

Oasis city "Dunhuang" which prospered as the crossroads of the civilization led to Silk Road. Many Buddhist images and murals have been made in stone cave for thousand years here. The best of the colorful Buddhist art that the trade between China and the Western Regions had fostered will be introduced by Super High-Vision. A beautiful image will tempt take audiences into far-off Silk Road.

" Marine Shosoin, Okinoshima "

"Umikita no michinaka" is the shortest sea route between Kyushu and Korean Peninsula. Okinoshima is the solitary island far off in the ocean but people used to devote lots of things praying for the safety of the sea route. Ceremonial articles discovered in Okinoshima, called "Marine Shosoin" is introduced with clear images and heroes of ancient Asian trade were revived.
